Corporate and informative portals
Business activity of big companies entails sharing many informations with many different groups of people: workers, suppliers, investores and journalists.
Corporate portal is a very expanded website developed on a base of different applications. CMS is reponsible for administration of content, CRM manages with the information about the client. Intranet system allows to share informations with workers, Extranet system gives access to informations to the suppliers and investores. Each department can place informations specific for its activity so there is no need to maintain separate department of information (marketing division can take care for the processing informations and attractive presentation on the portal). Corporate portal is in the Internet environment like skyscraper in the architecture. The difference is that skyscraper is less needed.
Informative portal is similar to corporate portal. It simplifies presenting information in the Internet. The difference is that corporate portals focus on one company and informative portals inform about many spheres of economy and life.
