Screen Mate

Screen Mate - a program that "lives" on your computer's screen. It can be a dog, a cat, or a forecaster - anything you can imagine. Screen Mate can have wide variety of forms and functions. It can display your company's stock exchange rate or inform your clients about promotions. Basic concept of Screen Mate as a way of promotion is based on an assuption, which says that user will not throw away anything useful and given to him/her for free! Following that concept, Screen Mate's task is to provide some sort of functionality that will glue it to the user's screen and as a subconscious and controlled side effect - promote your product or company (a dog that remembers user's passwords is useful enough to keep it installed, and because the dog's name's YourCompany - the user associates usefulness of the dog with your company's name). Clever, isn't it?
